DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS FOR EAGLE HARBOR LIFT BRIDGE 1.0 SCOPE The intent of this specification is to describe wire rope cable assemblies required for use by the Canal Corp. for a lift bridge. Wire rope shall be furnished completely assembled. Rods, sockets and pins etc. will be assembled by others onsite. The material/equipment requested herein shall not be considered restrictive. Items manufactured by others meeting all of our requirements, as interpreted by the director of Purchasing, will be considered. The word APPROXIMATE applies to all of the following information unless specifically noted otherwise. 2.0BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS No bid will be considered or award made unless the firm or representative submitting the bid can prove to the Authority's satisfaction that it meets the following conditions: Has satisfactorily completed contracts equal to the nature and scope of the proposal for at least three years (unless the bidder's performance record indicates a lesser time requirement as determined by the Director of Purchasing). Has in operation or represents a plant adequate for and devoted to the production of material which it proposes to furnish. All cables are double extra improved plow steel, drawn galvanized, 6 x 37 IWRC RRL with new Crosby open spelter sockets or equivalent. Cable lengths for Eagle Harbor Lift Bridge 8 @ 1 1 /8"-283 3/4 " 4 @ 1 1 /8"-256"
