As of July 7, 2023, a general contractor has been awarded. A firm timeline for start of construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Furnish all materials, labor, equipment and incidentals required and perform all the painting necessary to complete this Contract in its entirety as specified herein. B. It is the intent of this Section to paint all existing walls, floor, window frames, door frames and doors in the pressure adjusting room and pump room, and new pipe supports, all as specified in the painting schedules included in the engineering plan and all other work obviously required to be painted unless otherwise specified. Minor items not mentioned in the schedule of work shall be included in the work of this Section where they come within the general intent of this Section as stated herein. The City of Naperville is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors to supply labor, equipment, supplies and material associated with the Northeast Water Works Improvements Phase II. The work generally includes the replacement of all the pipes and valves in pressure adjusting station, replacing VFD #1 to VFD #5 in the pumping room, associated cables and conduits. VFD #2, #3, and #5 will be relocated with new VFD enclosures, replacement of the sump pump, and flow meters in the pump house. When a bid deposit is required as indicated on the Invitation to Bid, each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond signed by a surety company authorized to do business in Illinois, a cashier's check or a certified check. For construction projects the bid deposit shall be in an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount of the bid. When noted in the specifications, the City reserves the right to require the successful bidder to supply a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond within ten (10) calendar days of acceptance of the bidder's proposal by the City. The bonds, unless otherwise specified by the Purchasing Manager, shall be 100% of the total contract price.
