Renovation of a mixed-use development in Newton, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The scope of work consists of, but not limited to, replacing plumbing fixtures, renovations to toilet rooms, painting, and replacing flooring in common areas. A certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to the Baker County School System, or satisfactory bond executed by an acceptable surety, and in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. Prime Contractors who return the documents complete and in good condition within ten days after the bid opening will be refunded their full deposit. Prime Contractors may obtain additional sets, and Subcontractors and Material Suppliers may obtain copies of the documents by depositing $250.00 with the Architect for each set of documents so obtained. This is not refundable. No partial sets will be issued. Shipping charges are in addition to deposit. Checks or money orders shall be made payable to the Baker County School System. Before the opening of bids, bidders or their representatives shall attend a NON-MANDATORY Prebid Conference with representatives of the Owner and Architect. The conference will serve to allow bidders to address questions to the Owner and Architect
