Site work for a water / sewer project in Ft Washington, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Commission is seeking a Contractor to construction a new John Paul Jones FC Vault, waterline and connection to distribution systems to be accomplish with out disruption of service to the public. This project includes the replacement of an existing division valve located at the intersection of John Paul Jones Avenue and Aragona Blvd with a new flow control valve to be located in an easement along Aragona Blvd and Constellation Court in Prince Georges County with installation of approximately 1200 linear feet of watermains between 6-inch and 12- inch. The proposed FCV vault is 12-foot x 17-foot cast in place concrete reinforced structure that includes but is not limited to an 8-inch flow control valve, 6-inch and 8-inch eccentric valves, sump pump, ventilation, access and equipment hatch, piping, mechanical, HVAC system electrical and instrumentation. The proposed pipe, a 12-inch ductile iron watermain to be constructed in Aragona Blvd from Gunpowder Drive will supply the new FCV. The project also includes new 12-inch ductile iron piping to connect the existing 12-inch Aragona Blvd water main to the new FCV. The deadline for questions will be May 15, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. via online discussions.
