The equipment replacement will be phased construction to keep the remaining sections of the switchgear operational. **Only prequalified bidders will be allowed to submit a Bid on this project.** The University seeks Electrical Contractors, License C-10 to serve as Prime Contractor with demonstrated experience in utilities/infrastructure for a large operational campus that includes major research laboratories and a large acute-care hospital. Specific experience requirements include installation/replacement of medium-voltage switchgear, 12KV minimum; installation of medium-voltage cables as well as splices and terminations of cables; installation of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system; Parallel operation of a self-generating unit with utility company; short circuit coordination study, arc flash study and acceptance testing, and complex phasing plan with temporary power shut-offs.
