Renovation of a municipal facility in Stuart, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of June 12, 2023 project was awarded to Bausch Enterprises, Inc. , awarded amount is not yet available. The fiberglass housing on the South lifeguard tower at Jensen Beach (Jensen 3) is in disrepair. There are multiple locations of the tower that have shown major deterioration with multiple cracks and missing pieces. The tower's metal frame, aluminum stairwell, and railings are still in good condition. Martin County is in pursuit of a vendor that will repurpose the existing frame, stairwell, and railings and replace the fiberglass housing with an aluminum housing. In addition, replacement of the tower decking with appropriate material, to match design of the other aluminum towers located on the beach. The vendor is responsible for removing the existing tower, rebuilding it, and replacing it back on the beach. The County recognizes fair and open competition as a basic tenet of public procurement. Contractors doing business with the County are prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, handicap, age or sex. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation.
