Ram Ramachandra, Interim City Engineer at Ram@cityofalvarado.org The scope of work primarily consists of construction of concrete parking for eight (8) passenger vehicles adjacent to Lakeview Drive near the intersection with Shirley Drive in Alvarado, TX. All work performed must be completed in accordance with the construction plans included herewith and construction specifications provided either within the construction plans or using the latest edition of the Public Works Construction Standards published by North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG). The successful bidder ("Contractor") shall provide the City with a schedule and order of work prior to beginning the project. The Contractor shall not block nearby residents in or out of their homes for an entire day. Traffic may be detoured, with the City's consent, while working on the street, but residents must be allowed in and out of their homes. Contractor is responsible for providing all signs, flagging, barricades, and other traffic control devices necessary to warn and/or divert traffic including the use of a TMA on TxDOT Roads when applicable. If the bidder submitting a bid must outsource or contract any work to meet the requirements contained herein, this must be clearly stated in the bid submitted. All costs must be provided in an itemized format using the bid sheet included in this package. The contractor is responsible for completing permitting requirements for use of City water from fire hydrants. The permit application is free of charge. A meter will be supplied and installed by the City at the desired location(s) of the contractor. Failure to comply with permit requirements will result in a fine from the City for unauthorized use of a fire hydrant. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids that are submitted if the equipment does not meet specifications stated herein. All questions or requests for interpretation concerning the solicitation received after May 2, 2023 @ 5:00 P.M. will be considered void and unacceptable.
