Contractors interested in bidding this work are urged to attend the pre-bid conference. Attendance at this meeting is not mandatory; however, contractors are warned that no allowance will be granted to bidders unfamiliar with the work. Questions are required no later than 4:00 P.M. CST on May 4, 2023. All responses will be posted on the College website by 4:00 P.M. CST on May 8, 2023. Failure of any Bidder to receive any such addendum or interpretation shall not relieve the Bidder from obligation under this proposal as submitted. All addenda so issued shall become part of the proposal documents, Subcontract Agreement Documents, and shall be incorporated in all bids. Failure to request an interpretation constitutes a waiver to later claim that ambiguities or misunderstandings caused a Bidder to improperly submit a bid. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of (90) ninety days after the closing date without the consent of the College. Award shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the specifications and requirements as identified herein, including financial capacity to perform, experience and qualifications performing similar work, and scheduling based upon the criteria specified herein. The College will be provided with a Certificate(s) of Insurance with endorsements attached naming The College of Lake County, their board of trustees, individual board members, officers, administrators, employees, agents, representatives, and volunteers as Additional Insured on a Primary & NonContributory Basis, and Waiver of Subrogation prior to commencement of this Contract, and thereafter evidencing renewals or replacements of said policies. Policies shall not be cancelled, non-renewed, or materially changed without (30) day prior written notice to the College of Lake County, Attn: Procurement Services 19351 W. Washington St. Grayslake, IL 60030. The Contractor will include verbatim or by reference the provisions contained herein in every subcontract it awards under which any portion of the contract obligations are undertaken or assumed, so that such provisions will be binding upon such subcontractor. The Contractor will be liable for compliance with these provisions by such subcontractors. The Contractor and each subcontractor shall keep or cause to be kept an accurate record of names, occupations and actual wages paid to each laborer, workman and mechanic employed by him in connection with the contract. This record shall be open at all reasonable hours for inspection by any representative of the College or the Illinois Department of Labor and must be preserved for four (4) years following completion of the contract.
