Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) is requesting competitive bids from experienced Contractors to (1) remove existing wooden ramps and replace with Western Red Cedar ramps at the Mt. Hood Head Start Building; AND (2) remove and replace existing wooden bollards, "log type" structured edging from ECC Playground at the Gresham campus located at 26000 SE STARK, Gresham OR 97030 .This project is subject to Prevailing wage requirements of the Davis-Bacon and related Acts. Remove Existing and Replace Wooden Structures Contractor shall accumulate and remove all debris and spoils from site. Remove existing wood structures of ramps (3) and bollards. Mt Hood Head Start building: The onsite building and installation of all Western Red Cedar ramps attached properly to building. Pictures of current ramps attached for comparison. ECC Playground: The onsite building and installation of all Western Red Cedar wooden decorative bollards. Set at a proper depth for safety. Floor plan for ECC Playground showing approximate site of bollards is attached. Mt Hood Building site plan not available. Included in this scope is all soft digging in close proximately to utilities. Contractor must secure all permits and cover fees if needed before any work begins. Contractor will be responsible for complying with all applicable building codes The award will be made to the lowest most responsible bidder. Such insurance shall include coverage for productscompleted operations liability, independent contractors, contractual liability (including the tort liability of another assumed under a business contract), and all other standard coverages usually afforded by a commercial general liability policy The Contractor shall maintain automobile liability insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence to protect against liability arising from the use, loading, and unloading of all of the Contractor's owned, hired, and non-owned automobiles in connection with this project The Contractor shall maintain workers' compensation coverage for all subject workers as required by law, including employer's liability.
