Reviewing existing subsurface information obtained at/or near the site for the new construction and documents related to nearby existing structures, if available; Advancing thirty three test borings (B-1 through B-18, and B-101 through B-115) at the site to investigate subsurface conditions and obtain soil samples for laboratory testing; Conducting laboratory tests to assist with classification of soil encountered and assess the engineering properties of the soils; Developing geotechnical engineering recommendations for design and construction of the building foundations, earthwork, site development, and roadways; and Preparing this engineering report presenting CDM Smith's recommendations, including data collected and testing conducted as part of the exploration program. A Bid Bond in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid or an Annual Bid Bond is Required Prior to Bid Opening. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100-percent Performance Bond and a 100-percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Wage rates for this Project are subject to the minimum wage rates as per State of Kansas wage rate determination included in the specifications. OWNER reserves the right to reject any Bid if the evidence submitted by, or the investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy OWNER that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Contract Documents and to complete the Work contemplated therein.
