This work will include removal of curb and gutter, obliterate old road, excavation, aggregate base, concrete curb and gutter, and HMA base, leveling, and top courses. 0.53 mile of HMA resurfacing of 8th Street from Chicago Drive to US-31. Work on this section of road will include, temporary lowering of drainage structures, HMA cold milling full width 1.75" deep, adjusting of drainage structure covers, HMA top course, HMA intersection approaches, and pavement markings.0.44 mile of HMA HMA resurfacing and concrete pavement repair of Chicago Drive from Holland City limits to US-31 ramps. Work on this section of road will include, temporary lowering of drainage structures, HMA cold milling full width 1.75" deep, adjusting of drainage structure covers, HMA top course, concrete pavement repair, drainage structure, underdrain, grading, aggregate base, concrete curb and gutter, concrete driveways, HMA intersections, and pavement markings. The Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and award the Contract in any manner to be in the best interest of the County of Ottawa. The work will include the removal and replacement of some curb and gutter and ADA compliant concrete ramps. The sidewalk will mainly be on the south side of 8th Street, but some sidewalk and new drive accesses will be added to the north side of 8th Street. HMA removal and replacement will occur at disturbed driveways, and in other specified areas. The disturbed areas will be restored per the Contract specifications.
