Please obtain documents from mailto:procurement@suburbanconsulting.com The work will include but is not limited to the construction of approximately four thousand fourteen linear feet (4,014 LF) of precast concrete box culvert of various sizes, thirty-two (32) precast concrete box culvert manhole chamber structures of various sizes, one thousand six hundred twenty-two linear feet (1,622 LF) of stormwater piping of various materials and sizes, sixty-four (64) drainage structures of various types and sizes, one (1) stormwater manufactured treatment device, seven thousand one hundred twenty-two linear feet (7,122 LF) of sanitary sewer piping of various materials and sizes, sixty-nine (69) sanitary sewer manhole structures of various sizes, concrete encasement, sanitary sewer bypass piping and pumping, storm and sanitary sewer inspection and cleaning, utility relocations, environmental protection and restoration, traffic control measures, test pits, disposal of excess soils, compaction testing, and surface restoration. The work will take place within Clay Street from midblock between Clay Street and First Street to its intersection with Railroad Avenue, within Railroad Avenue from its intersection with Clay Street to its intersection with Passaic Street, and within Berdan Place, James Street, Berry Street, and Stanley Place from their intersections with First Street to their intersections with Railroad Avenue. The Contractor must abide by the conditions and requirements of the Scope of Work and all coordination with Property Owners. Complementary work to furnish and install accessory materials may be if and were directed by the Owner. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, trade skills, materials, and equipment required for this Project as described in the Construction Documents. The Contract will allow 310 calendar days for completion of the entire Scope of Work from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bids shall be made on the forms provided and made part of the Contract Documents, which SHALL be submitted in triplicate, One Stamped Original, and Two Stamped Copies. A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the order of the City of Hackensack, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of each Bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 must be deposited by the Bidder together with a Surety Consent evidencing that they can obtain the required Performance Bond. All applicable Surety Bonds required in connection with the advertisement and award of building Contracts or sub agreements must be written by a Surety Company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Department Circular 570 - Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds), incorporated herein by reference. Copies of this Document may be obtained from the Department. The Successful Bidder shall be required to deliver to the Owner an executed Performance Bond of a responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. The City of Hackensack reserves the right to consider Bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt. The right is reserved to waive any informalities, to accept Bids which it deems most favorable to the interest of the City to make an award on each item separately or as a whole and to accept any Bid or to reject any or all Proposals in accordance with the Specifications and the Bid forms.
