Reference Number 0000318505 Colorado Springs Utilities (UTILITIES) is seeking an experienced and qualified construction contractor (CONTRACTOR) to relocate, replace, and reconnect commercial and residential water services from the water main to the customer's water meter or other service line connection. The Finished Water Linear Asset Program (FWLAP), The Lead and Copper Program (LCP), and The Utility Reliability Program (URP) aim is to improve the reliability, water quality, fire flow, and capacity of the water distribution system. As part of these programs, Colorado Springs Utilities is evaluating water mains in alleys and easements to determine the best solution to provide reliable, cost-effective water service. In many instances, the best approach is to abandon water mains in the alleys or easements and reroute water service lines to the water mains in the street. Colorado Springs Utilities is also planning on replacing water service lines due to age and material in their current locations.
