The intent of this bid is to award a Contractor to provide all labor, services, and materials necessary to replace AHU-S-1 Room G-15, AHU-S-2 Room G-15, AHU-S-6 Penthouse A, AHU-S-8 Penthouse B, AHU-S-1 (Mech Room 1209), AHU-S-2 (Mech Room 3213), and AHU-S-4 (Mech Room G16C) at Kenneth Moy DuPage Care Center, located at 400 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL 60187. Women and Minority Owned Businesses, and Section 3 Businesses and Laborers Are Encouraged to Submit Bids on This Project. Federal Labor Standards and Prevailing Wage Rates Will Apply to This Project. To receive a bid, including bid specification, at no cost, prospective bidders must complete and provide the Apprenticeship or Training Program Certification for compliance with the County's Responsible Bidder's Ordinance to the Finance Department by email at valerie.calvente@dupageco.org or onsite during regular business hours. Due to the Covid-19 crisis, here are some process changes to the solicitations for bids and proposals including bid openings: 1) Procurement will accept electronic bid submissions and electronic signatures. Each Contractor shall deposit with his proposal a bond executed by the contractor and a surety company, or a certified check, or cashier's check, payable to The County of DuPage in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal. The successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract sum as a security for the faithful performance of this Contract and, a Labor and Mechanical Payment Bond in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract sum as a security for the payment of all persons performing labor on the Project under this Contract and furnishing materials in connection with this Contract. The County of DuPage reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive minor irregularities in any bid.
