The State Corporation Commission ("SCC") is soliciting unsealed bids for low-voltage construction services for the installation of a 1 1/4 " conduit to create a redundant point of entry and path for a data line (to be installed by a second Supplier) as an emergency back-up circuit Single Point of Contact (SPOC): Kendra J. Briscoe, VCO, VCA, VCARM E-mail Address: kendra.briscoe@scc.virginia.gov To participate in the pre-bid conference and site visit, register by sending an email to the SPOC stating your firm's name, participating representative(s), and the email address for the representative(s). It is strongly recommended that firmsregister no later than April 28, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET to ensure registration is confirmed. The Supplier shall install 1 1/4 -inch conduit from the entry point in the copy room located on the ground floor of the main tower to the termination point in the existing communications room on the 7th floor of the Tyler Building. The conduit shall continue from the 1st floor electrical closet through all stacked electrical closets on each floor to the 7th floor electrical closet. From there, conduit shall go to the communications room near the server room on the 7th floor with slack; total conduit run needed is approximately 275 feet in length. The path from the 1st floor electrical closet to the 7th floor communications room shall use existing floor penetrations. Contractor shall install pull boxes on each floor, and at each 90-degree angle (nine (9) pull boxes total). Contractor shall run pull tape from end to end during installation of conduit and pull tape shall remain in place at the completion of project. Pulling, installing, and terminating low voltage or fiber cable is out-of-scope of the resulting contract.
