1. Complete two (2) topographic surveys per year of the active MSW landfill. Work to be completed in July and January of each year. Submit all survey data electronically to the site's Solid Waste Engineer. The survey area is currently 48.5 acres, and will increase incrementally up to an anticipated 58 acres within the next two years. 2. Provide periodic location surveys and mark outs for installation of onsite infrastructure, facility expansions and general site improvements. This service is applicable to all sites listed above in General Information. 3. Complete topographic boundary surveys for land acquisitions or depositions as related to solid waste operations as requested by Steuben County. 4. The mapping and fieldwork will be referenced to the New York State Plane coordinate system horizontal datum NAD83, Central Zone using GPS methods. 5. The vertical datum for this work will be tied to the vertical datum of NAVD 88 using GPS methods. 6. The deliverables will include: a. All topographic maps in DWG (AutoCAD 2020 or newer) and PDF format. b. A boundary map of each property as requested in DWG (AutoCAD 2020 or newer) and PDF format. c. Location surveys and markouts should be provided in DWG (AutoCAD 2020 or newer) and PDF format and accompanied by point files (.txt or .csv) with Point Numbers, Northings, Eastings, Elevations, and Descriptions (as applicable). d. Mapping Requirements: i. Set plotting scale at 1 inch = 100 ft; ii. Provide contour elevations at 2-foot intervals; iii. Provide index contours on a separate layer at 10-foot intervals; iv. Contours shall be continuous, not segmented; and v. All surveys shall be signed and sealed by a Professional Surveyor licensed in the State of New York unless otherwise stated. 7. Surveyor may be requested to provide Steuben County with additional survey data if it is determined that any of the locations mentioned above requires an expansion survey to be completed. Data acquired from the expansion survey will be added to the final survey provided to the county. The RFB shall include the price for all deliverables required for each biannual topographic survey over a period of five years on a lump sum basis and on-call survey services on an hourly rate basis. The bidder shall include a fully executed original bid bond with its submittal. The bid bond shall be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in New York State. The bond shall be in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00). A certified check, cashiers check, or a bank issued Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit may be submitted in lieu of a bid bond.
