Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Stevensville, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
8.45 mi of hot mix asphalt roadway reconstruction, cold milling and resurfacing, reconstruction of 4 bridges, rehabilitation of 9 bridges and pavement markings on I-94 from Puetz Road to Britain Avenue, Berrien County. This project includes three 5 year materials and workmanship pavement warranties, one 2 year concrete surface coating warranty, one 5-year bridge deck overlay performance warranty, and one 2-year bridge coating warranty. This project is an Alternate Pavement Bid project. Alternate 1 (Section 2) is an HMA Alternative and includes a 5 year materials and workmanship pavement warranty. Alternate 2 (Section 3) is a Concrete Alternative and includes a 5 year materials and workmanship pavement warranty. Net classification required for this project is 184501 B or 184501 Cb or 184501 Ea In addition to the above minimum prequalification requirement for prime contractors this project includes subclassifications Ea, Fa and either B or Cb. If the prime contractor is not prequalified in those subclassifications it must use prequalified subcontractors. Those subcontractors must be designated prior to award of the contract to the confirmed low bidder.
