I. COMPREHENSIVE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE MODERNIZATION & CONSTRUCTION OF CLASSROOMS AND SCHOOL FACILITIES THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT. PROJECTS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED, ADDITIONS AT MENDOTA HIGH SCHOOL, MENDOTA ELEMENTARY AND MENDOTA PRE-SCHOOL ALONG WITH MODERNIZATION TO MCCABE ELEMENTARY. II. The District is soliciting proposals for the comprehensive architectural services for the construction/addition and modernization of school facilities throughout the District. These services include all architectural services needed for the construction including but not limited to services necessary to obtain design and development, estimation of all costs, DSA and CDE approvals, preparation of the cost estimated contractor construction bid documents, obtaining bids, providing general administration of the construction contract, and filing of all reports required by the District and State Agencies. Projects include, but are not limited to, the addition of new classrooms at Mendota Elementary(UPK), new classrooms at Mendota Preschool and Community Center, Mendota High School additions existing & (New Belmont Property),McCabe Phase III Special Education Center and Classrooms and Soccer Field Modernization, Mendota High HVAC Project. III. OVERVIEW The Mendota Unified School District is located in central California in Fresno County. The District serves approximately 4000 students and is approximately halfway between Fresno on Highway 99 and Highway 5. The proposal shall provide the following information: a) Identify the firm submitting the proposal, setting forth its name, address, telephone number, fax number, email address, contact person, type of entity. b) For each architect in the firm to be involved on Mendota's projects, set for the architect's name, license number, years of experience, years of experience with school construction and reconstruction, and the person's relationship with the firm (i.e. partner, employee, etc.) c) List all school state funded construction projects that the firm or any of its architects have worked on in the last five years, including the name of the school district and the name and telephone number of the person at the school district that can be contacted. C-1 Also indicate if the bid came in, under, or over budget C-2 Indicate the number of change orders for each project. d) Set forth in detail the items that are not part of the Architect's basic fee, for each item. e) Specify the immediate availability and the number of months needed to complete the necessary site modifications to the plans of the submission and approval to DSA and CDE. V. REVIEW OF PROPOSAL The Mendota Unified School District will review all proposals received and may request further information. The District may accept any given proposals as submitted or may negotiate to establish terms more advantageous to the School District. The decision of the Mendota Unified School District shall be final and not subject to appeal. The District desires to enter into a contract within thirty days of interviews / presentations. The selected professional will enter into the District Standard Architect Agreement. The Architect will be required to agree that in connection with the performance of work under this contractor that they will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for the employment because of race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. VI. DISTRICT'S RIGHTS The Mendota Unified School District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and waive any irregularities in the RFQ whenever such action is in the interest of the District. The request for proposals may be terminated by the District at any time. VI NO COLLUSION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST Each person and firm submitting a proposal is certifying that he/she has not colluded with any other person, firm or corporation in regard to securing the services being solicited. No Board Member, officer, or employee of the Mendota Unified School District, and no other public official who exercises and functions or responsibilities with respect to the project, shall during his/her tenure or for 1 year thereafter, have any interest, direct or indirect, in the project, or in this contract or any other contract or proposed contract relating to the project. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. As of May 5, 2023, the due date and time has been confirmed with the owner.
