As of July 20,2023, project was awarded to Bradley and Conner Grading Contractors Inc, awarded amount is $462,678.21. The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to construct the Norton Creek Streambank Restoration at Silversteen Park consisting of the following: Approximately 500 LF of streambank restoration of Norton Creek. 72" culvert extension and headwall. Construction of approximately 45 LF of new 6-foot-wide pedestrian path (paths to signage). Construction of approximately 520 LF of new 8-foot-wide pedestrian path. Associated Landscaping. Bidders must deposit security with all bids. Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner and shall be for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Provisions of the security shall be as described in the Information for Bidders. No bid will be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified, on the date of the bid, under the provisions of the North Carolina Board of General Contractors. Contractors shall have a classification of Building Contractor or Highway Contractor, Limited or greater. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids.
