Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Des Plaines, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a golf course; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a golf course; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Des Plaines Park District is seeking sealed bids for Pavement and Sidewalk Improvements at the Lake Park Golf Course & Marina parking lot. The scope of work includes 2,950 SY of pavement removal, base preparation, placement of HMA binder course, placement of HMA surface course, PCC sidewalk removal and replacement, pavement markings, restoration, and all associated work. All bids must include a ten percent (10%) Bid Guarantee and a duly executed and notarized Bid Certification under Section 33E-11 of the criminal code of 1961, as amended, on the form provided by the Des Plaines Park District. Failure to provide Bid Certification within 48 hours of the bid opening shall be cause for rejecting the bid. No Bidder may withdraw their proposal after the hour set for the opening thereof, or before award of the contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) calendar days. The work to be performed under this Contract shall commence on May 30, 2023. The work shall be prosecuted in such a manner and with such a supply of materials, equipment and labor as considered necessary to ensure its completion by July 14, 2023. The Des Plaines Park District may reject any or all of the bids on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any unsuccessful Bidder against the Des Plaines Park District.
