The Salish & Kootenai Housing Authority is soliciting bids for janitorial services for a contract period of three years beginning in June 2023. The successful contractor will be required to clean the Salish & Kootenai Housing Authority Office daily. Vendor is required to furnish cleaning supplies, disinfectants and floor finish. Vendor must also supply equipment. The Salish & Kootenai Housing Authority will furnish trash liners, paper products, hand soaps, dispensers and central vacuum system. All proposals must include the Following: 1. Proof of Workman's Compensation coverage for employees that will be cleaning SKHA premises, or independent contractor exemption. 2. Copy of valid proof of liability coverage. 3. Three local-area business references. 4. Written confirmation that background checks are made on employees who will be working on Salish & Kootenai Housing Authority premises, and the scope of such checks. A complete detailed scope of work is available upon request. The successful bidder will be obligated to sign a contract with the Salish & Kootenai Housing Authority. This is an Indian Preference Bid. Tribal contractors who wish to receive Indian Preference must obtain certification by the Indian Preference Office as a legitimate Indian-owned business prior to the submission of bids. Proof of Indian Preference Certification must be included with your bid in the form of a copy of the Certificate issued by the Indian Preference Office. Be advised that evidence of your membership or affiliation does not constitute Indian Preference Certification. You must be certified by the Indian Office in order to claim preference. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to obtain and provide proof of Indian Preference Certification from the Indian Preference Office.
