Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare - Huntsville Site is seeking prequalification of Mechanical Engineers to participate in a future tender for upgrades to the Domestic Watermain and Fire Protection systems at the hospital. The Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC), Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) invites prequalification proposals for a renovation to the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital to upgrade the existing incoming water service, domestic water & fire line services. It is anticipated the project will be tendered in June 2023 with construction to commence in Summer 2023 with project completion date 16 weeks after. The project consists of: a) Installation of new 8" domestic cold water to the building. (connection 1.5m from the building) b) Revisions to domestic water piping, fire line piping services within the Boiler/Mechanical room, new domestic water booster pump. c) Modification to fire lines, new standpipe system, new fire pump installations, additional fire hose cabinet. d) Upgrades to the existing main fire line serving standpipe system from 2" to 3" line through the hospital floors level 100 & 200. e) Removal of existing water/fire lines piping, domestic water old booster pump and standpipe system fire pump. - Boiler/Mechanical Room There will be associated electrical work related to power services to fire pump, domestic water booster pump, and supervisory inputs from valves to fire alarm system, as well electrical removal work for discontinued old fire and boost pump packs. Mechanical Contractors should have completed a minimum of three (3) similar projects to the current project required by the MAHC/HDMH for a Broader Public Sector organization such as healthcare facilities, or hospitals, to be considered. This project is to have a contract price excluding taxes in the range of $500,000 to $700,000.
