Reference Number 0000246479 The Work under this Contract consists of Loading Aggregate from existing Department stockpiles, and Hauling and Depositing Aggregate as shown in the heading Distribution of Material. In general, the traffic gravel will be distributed at a relatively uniform rate per kilometre. The Department reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantities in any given kilometre as required by prevailing conditions. The Contractor shall coordinate his operations with the Department representative and the Department representative will be the sole judge as to the suitability of the road conditions for hauling and depositing. The sequence and locations of the loading, hauling, and depositing shall be approved by the Department's representative. Where the amount of material averages less than 750 m3 deposited on the road per day, the Department representative may remove the checker until the Contractor is able to deliver at a rate greater than 750 m3 per day. For calculation purposes, all gravel hauled within a kilometre will be paid as if it were hauled to the middle of that kilometre The Work shall be completed on or before the expiration of EIGHTEEN (18) Working Days.
