All bids shall be signed and submitted on the forms bound in the contract documents. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Bid for Contract 2023-002 for WEPF Solids handling Building" Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code which shall be either a certified check payable to the City of Oberlin, or a bid bond satisfactory to the City, in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the price bid. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Due to the complex nature of the project, bidders are strongly urged to attend the pre-bid conference. Each Proposal must contained the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be substantially completed no later than June 16, 2024. The final completion date is July, 16, 2024. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the Implementation of their project. This will be performed in accordance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Program in Lorain County and the City of Oberlin, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Labor and Work Safety (614) 644- 2239.
