Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Wareham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field.
Scope- The project includes selective demolition, new cement concrete sidewalks, stairs, and pads, asphalt pavement repair, precast block terrace wall, grading, landscaping and plantings, site furnishings, and installation of electrical load center, conduit, and handholes. Location- 57 Park Street in Gardner, MA. Combined MBE/WBE: 13.0 % of the Construction Contract Price. Combined MBE/WBE: 17.9 % of the Design Contract Price. The Work includes the following major items: a. Removal and disposal of existing gravel b. Strip and stockpile of topsoil c. Removal and disposal of existing pavement d. Hot mix asphalt (HMA) repair e. New cement concrete sidewalks and pads f. Installation of metal handrail g. Construction of of cast in place and precast concrete walls h. Installation of electrical conduit and handholes i. Site furnishings (e.g. benches, tables, trash bins, bike racks, pet waste stations, decorative fence) j. Landscape plantings (trees, shrubs and perennials) and lawn restoration k. Stone dust seating areas l. Grading, backfill and compaction The project must be substantially complete on or before October 13, 2023 and reach final completion by November 10, 2023.
