Renovation of a power facility in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
The Contractor is to furnish, deliver, install and connect, and make ready for operation all material and equipment furnished by the Owner and the Contractor as shown on the Plans and Specifications. All else remaining as indicated on the drawings becomes part of this Contract. This project will replace two 115 kV oil circuit breakers, 115 kV revenue metering instrument transformers and 115 kV disconnect switches and associated buswork. The work will progress in four phases: 1. Phase 1 - Preliminary Work a. Installation of two relay panels, five (5) meter sockets, two (2) white indicating lights, direct buried conduit, precast handhole. All existing substation equipment will remain energized during this phase. 2. Phase 2 - 115 kV Bus 3 Outage a. Removal and proper disposal of one 115 kV oil circuit breaker, five 115 kV revenue metering instrument transformers, one 115 kV gang operated disconnect switch and associated buswork, equipment support structures, foundations, conduit and cabling. b. Installation of one 115 kV circuit breaker, two 115kV motor-operated disconnect switches, three 115 kV metering units including associated foundations, structures, conduit, cabling, grounding and buswork. 115 kV Bus 1, 115 kV Bus 2, Transformer T1, Transformer T2 and the existing 13.8 kV distribution equipment will remain energized during this phase. 3. Phase 3 - 115 kV Bus 1 Outage a. Removal and proper disposal of existing control house, one 115 kV oil circuit breaker, five 115 kV revenue metering instrument transformers, one 115 kV gang operated disconnect switch and associated buswork, equipment support structures, foundations, conduit and cabling. b. Installation of one 115 kV circuit breaker, two 115kV motor-operated disconnect switches, three 115 kV metering units including associated foundations, structures, conduit, cabling, grounding and buswork. 115 kV Bus 2, 115 kV Bus 3, Transformer T2, Transformer T3 and the existing 13.8 kV distribution equipment will remain energized during this phase. The Contractor shall reach substantial completion on or before May 31, 2024, and final completion on or before July 15, 2024. The Contractor shall attain the following interim Milestone dates during construction: 115 kV Bus No. 3 ready for energization - December 31, 2023. 115 kV Bus No. 1 ready for energization - May 31, 2024.
