Dryads Green Storm Drain Repair Project - The work shall consist of all labor, equipment, fees, permits, and other related costs necessary to execute the Dryads Green Storm Drain Repair Project proximate to the end of Dryads Green, Northampton, Massachusetts. All work shall be completed no later than September 29, 2023. The Work of this Contract is to repair the existing stormwater management system extending from Dryads Green to the outfall at the Mill River, including, but not limited to: removal and disposal of existing vegetation within the limit of work, demolition, removal and disposal of existing system components within the limit of work, repair of the eroded slope, construction of the new stormwater management system as shown on the drawings and detailed in these specifications, and restoration of disturbed areas, including landscaping and paving. Included in the Work is replacement of the sanitary sewer connection from No. 49 Dryads Green to the municipal sanitary sewer system. LOCATION OF THE WORK The Project Site encompasses approximately 15,000 square feet, consisting of approximately 170 linear feet of Dryads Green and the existing vegetated and eroded slope and walking path, areas extending from the southern end of Dryads Green. Primary access to the Site is via Dryads Green. Emergency access is also available via the existing walking path, accessed from Washington Avenue, at the intersection with Ward Avenue and James Avenue. Install, maintain and replace as necessary Site access controls and pedestrian protection. Install, maintain and replace as necessary sediment and erosion controls. Install, maintain and replace as necessary surface and groundwater controls and diversions, including diversion of water from the City's stormwater system in Dryads Green and discharge to the Mill River. Protection of existing utilities. Site preparation, vegetation and debris removal. Demolition, removal and disposal of existing stormwater structures and piping and existing pavements. Slip lining of a portion of the existing outfall to the Mill River. Excavation and backfilling to re-grade the subject portion of the slope and establish proposed final grades. Construction of the new drainage pipe and structures. Construction of new pavements. Construction of the new cellular concrete block outfall stabilization. Replacement of the existing sanitary sewer service for No. 49 Dryads Green.
