Notice Text ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS BIDDING Emailed bids for Bid Package No. 2, Building Addition for the Colome Consolidated School District, Colome, SD will be received by the Architect no later than 2:00 PM CDT on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. This project includes the foundation system for the bid package no. 1 metal building system as will as the sitework, site demolition, build out systems including walls, fixtures, specialties, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, fire wall assembles and all work as shown on the bid package documents dated April 26, 2023. This contractor shall coordinate the work of this package with the work under Bid Package No. 1, metal building system, that has been previously bid and awarded. The work will be completed per the "Summary of the Work," as is listed in the project specifications. It is suggested that the bidder review the "Contract Documents" consisting of the project specifications and contract drawings. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a lump sum basis for all the required work. All construction will conform to the latest Standards of the 2021 edition of the International Building Code. After the award of Contracts a pre-construction meeting shall be held between the Owner, A/E and Contractor for answering any questions and clarifying any procedures regarding the work. The time and place for the conference will be determined following the award of the Contract PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. This Bid Package No. 2 will provide the earthwork, engineered fill, building foundations, all civil and site work, interior wall framing, wall insulation, all interior drywall and finishes and specialty finishes, flooring, roof insulation, roof membrane and flashings, and building mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. This Bid Package No. 2 shall provide its schedule with the provided date of shipment for the metal building system so that earthwork, exterior concrete, final grading, foundation systems, and general building elements such as underground systems can all be completed prior to the arrival of the metal building which is scheduled for August 16, 2023. The anchor bolt plan is expected June 21, 2023. The contractor shall coordinate all activities with the school prior to the upcoming 2023-24 school year. All existing surrounding roads shall remain open and undisturbed as much as possible. C. It is suggested that the bidder review the "Contract Documents" consisting of the project specifications and contract drawings in addition to visiting the actual site. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a lump sum basis for all the required work. The bids for this project shall include a complete project encompassing all aspects of Bid Package No. 2 under a single prime general construction bid.
