**As of June 27, 2023, project was awarded, start date is mid to late July, 2023.** General work description: Work will include pulverization of existing asphalt concrete and aggregate base, grading to establish design crown and superelevation, placement of 0.25 feet of Type A Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete in a single lift at a width of 28 feet, conforming to existing widening and road connections, placement of shoulder backing, installation of traffic inductive loop detectors (2), and installation of traffic stripes and markings. The Department will receive sealed bids for: FEDERAL STATE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, Big Springs Road, RPSTPL-5902(083) District-County-Route-Post Mile: 02-SIS, Big Springs Road, Mile Post 4.13 thru Mile Post 0.00. Bidders may ask the Department questions and obtain plans at: 1312 Fairlane Road, Suite 3, Yreka CA96097 Alternatively, bidder may contact Terry Smith, with the Siskiyou County Department of Public Works at (530) 842- 8250 Complete the work within 60 working days The estimated cost of the project is $. 3.2 million. No mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project
