The project for which Bids are being solicited is subject to the applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Each Bid must be accompanied by bid security payable to Hanover Township, Lehigh County in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price in the form of a Certified Check, Bank Check, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Article 5 of the General Conditions. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to accept any Bid which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner. No Bid will be accepted if obtained from sources other than the issuing office noted above. The intent of these specifications is to describe the work necessary to replace 1,525 L.F. of 8 VCP sanitary sewer with 1,224 L.F. of 8 SDR 26 pipe and 301 L.F. of 8 C-900 pipe reconnecting 8 laterals with 6and 8 SDR26 pipe. The project will also include the replacement of 6 standard manholes, 1 drop manhole, pavement restoration, curb restoration and grass restoration. A more detailed listing of the construction requirements is described in the following technical specifications. The Contractor shall supply all materials, labor and equipment necessary to properly perform the respective items of work. Any apparatus, material and labor not specifically mentioned or shown on the drawings which may be found necessary to complete or perfect any portion of the work in a substantial manner and in compliance with the requirements implied or intended in these specifications shall be furnished by the Contractor without additional compensation. This shall include all materials, devices and methods peculiar to the apparatus or system furnished and installed by the Contractor.
