Questions and requests for interpretation of the bid documents shall be submitted in writing to CPL / Bill Zografos via e-mail bzografos@CPLteam.com. All requests for information must be submitted in writing no later than 12:00 pm on Friday, May 5th , 2023. Bid Guarantee: Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of bid guarantee in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the base bid payable to the Owner as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute the Contract within ten (10) days after the Notice to Proceed. Bid Withdrawal: No bidder may withdraw their bid or security within forty- five (45) days of actual opening thereof. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Executive Order Nos. 11248 and 11375 which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, set or national origin The successful bidder must be an equal opportunity employer, must meet all appropriate State and Federal standards, and comply with all relevant governmental regulabons. A Statement of Non-Colusion and Performance and Payment Bonds will be required for this project. The City of Tonawanda is exempt from the payment of sales and compensation use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment, and supplies sold to the City of Tonawanda pursuant to this contract. The sales tax exemption is extended to the Contractor. Subcontractors. and their suppliers All bids shall be binding for a period of forty-five (45) days after the bid opening date. The City of Tonawanda reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein. Owner's Rights: The Owner reserves the nght to waive any informalibes in, or reject any or all bids, or to make any contract which it deems to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any bid, and to disqualify the bd, if the evidence submitted or investigation of any such bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such bidder is responsible or is able or qualified to carry out obligations of the Contract or to complete the work as contemplated therein.
