Renovation of a mixed-use development in Birmingham, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,800-square-foot educational facility.
ASFA Recital Hall Renovations, alterations to the 2,800 square foot recital hall Project scope: Interior renovation of the existing Recital Hall including improving the aesthetics, functionality, and by adding architectural elements around new platform and side walls, add adjustable acoustic curtains, room shaping, and acoustical ceiling elements, and provide new storage. The scope also includes improving sound isolation/transmission issues between the Recital Hall and Black Box Theatre and correcting existing humidity/moisture control issues in the Recital Hall. A cashier check or bid bond payable to Alabama School of Fine Arts in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. Interior Renovations to existing 2,830 gross square feet Recital Hall. Work includes new metal stud walls, sound/light locks, recital platform, acoustical curtain system, acoustical ceiling system, finish upgrades, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents.
