Demolition, site work and new construction of a civil project in Charlestown, Indiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project includes all the work required to expand the existing wastewater treatment plant to an average daily treatment capacity of 4.0 MGD. Work includes maintaining existing treatment capacity throughout construction, maintenance of existing flow, specified demolition, rehabilitation or repurposing of the specified existing unit processes, new administration building, construction of new processes, buildings, and systems including: headworks, 3-Stage BNR aeration basins, blowers/electrical building, clarifiers, UV disinfection system, reaeration system, outfall, solids dewatering building, new plant pumping systems, plant drains and sewer system, electrical, control and SCADA systems. The Contractor will be required to develop and implement a detailed sequence of construction that will allow the project work to proceed while maintaining existing treatment capacity. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. As of November 7, 2023, construction has commenced.
