Repair the steam piping in Nellor Biomedical Sciences by replacing with new piping for steam and condensate. All piping, valves, humidification units and ancillary steam equipment to be replaced per construction drawings. UNR Project#: 21DRPR02015 Labor Commissioner #: WA-2023-356 SPWD Project #: 23-B050 Estimated Cost Range: $100,000 to $200,000 Liquidated Damages: $500/day Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond duly completed on an acceptable form by a guaranty company authorized to carry on business in the State of Nevada and with an A. M. Best rating of at least A-, in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the sum of the total amount bid, including any options. Said check or bond is to be payable without condition to the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education as a guaranty that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute the contract in accordance with the Bid, in the manner and form required by the contract documents. The bid security shall be forfeited to the NSHE as liquidated damages in the case of failure or neglect of the bidder to furnish, execute and deliver to the NSHE the required performance and payment bond(s) and evidences of necessary insurance coverage within seven (7) days after receiving the Intent to Award. Bid security or bid bonds submitted with bids will be returned to all unsuccessful bidders upon issuance of the purchase order award. Areas of the construction are in a restricted research lab with live animals. Steam is for building heating and research washdown equipment, limit duration of shutdown. Cage washing machine cannot be down for more than a few days, contractor to coordinate replacement with CM and department. Required Insurance if Awarded: Commercial General Liability, Business Automobile Liability, Workers' Compensation, Contractor's Pollution Liability and Builders Risk Insurance will be required.
