The County of Brant is issuing a tender call for the crushing and stockpiling of an estimated 5000 tonnes of Recycled Asphalt Product (RAP) at the Mather Pit from an existing stockpile of asphalt millings, the screening and stockpiling of 10,000 tonnes of Winter Sand at the Babicz Pit from pit face material and the crushing and stockpiling of 15,000 tonnes of Granular ‘M’ at the Babicz Pit from pit face material and existing aggregate and asphalt milling stockpiles It is agreed by the parties of the Contract that in case all the work called for under the Contract is not finished or completed within the number of working days as set forth in the Special Provision, damage will be sustained by the County and that it is and will be impracticable and extremely difficult to ascertain and determine the actual damage which the County will sustain in the event of and by any reason of such delay and the parties hereto agree that the Contractor will pay to the County the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per calendar day for Liquidated Damages for each and every calendar day's delay in finishing the work in excess of the number of working days prescribed and it is agreed that this amount is an estimate of the actual damage to the County which will accrue during the period in excess of the prescribed number of working days Tentative Contract Award Wednesday, May 24, 2023 Bid bond required 10 % of contract value Agreement to Bond Required Performance Bond 50 % of Bid Amount Question Deadline: Fri May 12, 2023 4:30 PM (EDT) The Contractor shall diligently execute his work on this Contract to completion between the dates of May 25, 2023 and October 1, 2023 This item shall be completed before October 1st, 2023.
