The City of Detroit Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) requests proposals from vendors to manage the operations and maintenance services for Courville Parking Plaza, a flexible parking/public plaza on the east side of Detroit. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Proposals will only be accepted from those firms demonstrating a minimum of five (5) years of experience providing the services requested in the RFP for projects of similar scope and size. The City of Detroit, led by the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) and the Department of Public Works (DPW), collectively referred to hereafter as "The Client" seeks proposals from qualified vendors to manage the operations and maintenance services for Courville Parking Plaza, a flexible parking/public plaza on the east side of Detroit ("the Site"). Courville Parking Plaza is a roughly 25,000 square foot section of public right-of-way on the North and South sides of Courville street at its intersection with E Warren. Courville Parking Plaza is part of the $8.5 million dollar redesign of E Warren Streetscape, which brings new sidewalks, bicycle lanes, lighting, trees and other amenities that will enhance the experience of visitors to E Warren. Courville Plaza will provide public parking to support businesses and will also double as a venue for public events to activate the new streetscape. The Client seeks a business improvement association to manage operations and maintenance activities detailed in the Scope of Work. The Client seeks a contractor that can work in coordination with city departments to ensure smooth operation of events in the plaza and to complete enhanced maintenance tasks which fall beyond the scope of routine departmental maintenance (see Appendix - Maintenance Matrix).
