The engineering services shall include preparation of a site plan meeting the requirements of New Milford's Zoning Regulations, Chapter 175, site plan application. The site plan will be for moving the pip year, salt sheds and vactor truck storage. Other future plans will be identified in general blocks on the layout. Please complete not only the lump sum request in Section 4 but also include your firm's rates for other services in Section 6.5 should the Town need to expand the service needed. The Town of New Milford is seeking quotes for the services of a professional civil engineering firm licensed in the State of Connecticut with site plan development experience meeting local zoning regulation requirements. The Town of New Milford is preparing to relocate the Department of Public Works to the Old Century Brass site at 12 Scoville Street. The Department has begun using the site but requires a site plan in order to relocate the pipe yard, salt sheds and vactor building. Question Submission Deadline:May 8, 2023, 8:00am The Municipality reserves its right to consider informal any quote not prepared and submitted in accordance with the provisions hereof and may waive any informalities or reject any and all quotes. Any quote may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or the authorized postponement thereof. Any quote received after the time and date specified shall not be considered or accepted through OpenGov. The Municipality may accept or reject any or all quotes or any portions thereof and take any action deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. Quotes must be submitted via the Town's e-Procurement Portal. All blank spaces for quote prices must be filled in, through the system. Any deviations from the specifications listed herein shall be provided with the bid submittal. If so equipped with deviation list this bid sheet shall be marked with the deviations accordingly on each item. Only complete bids will be accepted. In order for a bid to be complete, all required documents must be submitted as provided for in this solicitation. Vendors experiencing any technical difficulties with the bid submission process may contact OpenGov Procurement at (855) 680-4747. If you continue to have difficulty, call the Town's Procurement Official shown in this document. Neither the Town, nor OpenGov make any guarantee as to the timely availability of assistance, or assurance that any given problem will be resolved by the submission date and/or time. No interpretation of the meaning of the quote documents will be made to any vendor orally, either in person or via phone. The Town and the successful bidder are independent parties. Nothing contained in the Contract shall create, or be construed or deemed as creating, the relationships of principal and agent, partnership, joint venture, employer and employee, and/or any relationship other than that of independent parties contracting with each other solely for the purpose of carrying out the terms and conditions of the Contract. The successful bidder understands and agrees that it is not entitled to employee benefits, including but not limited to workers compensation and employment insurance coverage, and disability. The successful bidder shall be solely responsible for any applicable taxes.
