Renovation of a medical facility in Saline, Michigan. Design plans call for the renovation of a hospital.
As of July 17, 2023, an Architect has been awarded. The project is in early schematic design. A firm timeline for GC/CM bidding and construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) is requesting professional architectural and engineering services for anti-ligature window and door hardware, plumbing fixtures and piping, lighting fixtures and switches, restroom accessories, and resident room accessories throughout the existing building of the Center for Forensic Psychiatry. This is immediately applicable to the resident occupied areas. The successful professional services contractor shall be familiar with the federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid anti-ligature measures. The professional services contractor shall use the Patient Safety Standards, Materials and Systems Guidelines (recommended) from the New York Office of Mental Health as guidance for design and specifying of anti-ligature measures to be implemented. The professional services contractor shall provide architectural and engineering services for both design and construction administration. The request is for services in Phase 400 Preliminary Design, Phase 500 Final Design, Phase 600 Construction Administration/ Office, and Phase 700 Construction Administration/ Field Inspection Services. The professional services shall be done in accordance with the State Construction Code (per 1972 PA 230) and the Occupational Code (per 1980 PA 299).
