Demolition and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Butler Township, Ohio. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.
The bridge project site is located between Dog Leg Road and Philadelphia Drive approximately 300 feet west of Landsend Court and carries Frederick Pike over a tributary to the Stillwater River. This project includes the removal of the existing bridge beams and installation of new prestressed concrete composite box beams. New safety railing will be installed to current standards. There will be moderate roadway pavement improvement. New Rock channel protection will be added along the stream banks to alleviate scour and erosion concerns. THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SUPERSTRUCTURE WITH 17" DEEP PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BOX BEAMS. A MINIMAL ROADWAY APPROACH AND GUARDRAIL INSTALLATION IS REQUIRED. THE WORK LENGTH IS APPROXIMATELY 200 FEET.
