COMANCHE COUNTY SEEKS BIDS FOR OLD CORA LOG COURTHOUSE REPAIRS Comanche, Texas, Monday, April 24, 2023: Comanche County is requesting bid proposals for repairs to the historic Old Cora Log Courthouse at 101 W. Central Avenue. The north wall of the structure is severely deteriorated and is at risk of collapse. Comanche County has received a Texas Preservation Trust Fund grant to help fund the repair of the Old Cora Log Courthouse. Repairs must be performed by a qualified restoration contractor with experience in log restoration. Old Cora is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, and all work must be reviewed by the Texas Historical Commission. Repairs must also follow the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for the Treatment of Historic buildings.
