The Board of County Commissioners is requesting competitive sealed proposals for the collection, hauling and processing of recyclables from 13 residential drop-off recycling sites located throughout Wood County. A bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or money order on a solvent bank or savings and loan association, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal shall accompany each proposal submitted. The successful contractor will be required to sign an affidavit of contractor or supplier of nondelinquency of personal property taxes in accordance with Section 5719.042, Revised Code of Ohio. Questions regarding the Request for Proposals should be sent in writing, via e-mail to Dee Stewart, at dstewart@woodcountyohio.gov by 10:00 a.m. on May 1, 2023. A performance bond is also required. The amount of the performance bond must be for one (1) year of the Contract and must be renewed annually. The Board of County Commissioners may reject any or all of the proposals. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the form of the proposals. In no case will an award be made until all necessary investigations are made as to the qualifications of the contractor to whom it is proposed to award the contract.
