Renovation of a municipal facility in Westminster, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The deadline for Questions has been established as: May 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. All Questions must be submitted, in writing, to the Procurement Officer. A. General Scope of Work: The successful contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supplies required for in according with the terms, conditions, and specifications. The work shall be done to the Department of General Services "Standards for new Construction, Re-Roofing Construction and Roofing Guarantee Requirements" dated July 2022. B. Description of Work: 1. Work consists of asphalt shingle roof removal and replacement. 2. Gutters & Downspouts are Copper and are to be repaired as needed per LF unit price #3. 3. Contractor shall repair existing gutters and downspouts on the building. New downspouts and gutters are to match the existing in material, size, and configuration. 4. All work shall be accomplished within sixty (90) calendar days from the date designated by the notice to proceed. C. Site Conditions: 1. The building will be occupied and remain in operation during the construction period. Coordinate all construction operations with POC Mitchel LeQuire. Plan and execute all work to minimize interference with the normal function of the Owner's facilities. 2. The site and all areas of construction activity which are occupied by the Owner's operations shall be kept clean of construction debris and dirt on a continuous basis and all areas and items left in a safe condition for occupancy. Remove all debris and surplus materials on a daily basis. At completion of the work, remove all debris and surplus materials and leave the site completely clean. 3. All agreed upon schedules shall be placed in writing with copies to the Owner's representative. 4. Temporary Toilet Facilities: Provide self-contained portable toilet facilities with maintenance service. Locations on site to be approved by the Owner. ew #15 asphalt impregnated nonperforated felt underlayment or as approved by the shingle manufacturer. Install drip edge and ice guard extending a minimum of 24" beyond the interior walls. Install new flashings using 0.032-inch-thick aluminum. All mechanical fastening to be done with nails, not staples, compatible with the metals used to avoid galvanic action. Install new step flashings on chimney. 3. Wrap all facia in 0.032-inch-thick aluminum. 4. Install new Limited Lifetime shingle roof GAF, or approved equal, saturated fiberglass shingles. Nail with large head hot dipped galvanized roofing nails, minimum six nails per shingle. Install ridge vents and soffit vents with minimum 1/10-inch mesh to prevent insect infestation... NOTE: All quantities and measurements listed above are approximate. It is the Contractor's responsibility to check/confirm. the exact measurements to their satisfaction. PROJECT COST CLASSIFICATION: B ($100,000 - $500,000) The deadline for Questions has been established as: May 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
