Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Ormond Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work consists of: Resurfacing approximately 4.12 miles of streets in various locations of the City, including: milling, adjusting manholes and valves to grade, thermoplastic striping, and concrete curb & gutter replacement. The work is shown on the Drawings and specified in the Project Manual. The deadline for submitting questions is May 24, 2023 at 5:00pm. OWNER and CONTRACTOR agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty) CONTRACTOR shall pay OWNER Four Hundred Dollars ($ 400.00) for each calendar day Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security. The Security shall be made payable to OWNER, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, and in the form of a certified or cashier's check or a Bid Bond issued by a Surety meeting the requirements of paragraph 5.1 of the General Conditions. The Bid Security shall be irrevocable after the time and date set for the opening of bids, and for a period of ninety (90) days thereafter. Unless the City Manager, or designee, determines such Bond to be necessary to protect the interests of the City, no Contractor shall be required to provide a Payment and Performance Bond for any Contract which is for $25,000.00 or less.
