The Housing Authority of the County of Cass is accepting bids for a roof replacement at its 7 Building located at the Riverside Apartments in Beardstown, IL The Housing Authority of the County of Cass reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids his institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer. Installation: Removal of Existing Roof The contractor shall be responsible for stripping the existing roof down to the decking. In addition, the contractor is responsible for the entire clean-up and removal of the existing roof. (The Housing Authority's dumpster will not be used.) Installation of New Roof The contractor shall be responsible for the installation of the shingle roof, including all required prep work and the installation of the ridge vent. Damage to Decking It is the housing authority's contention that the existing decking is in need of being replaced. In addition to the price for roof replacement, contractor should provide two more prices. One price to replace the entire decking and a second price to replace 4x8 sections. If during the contract the contractor discovers damage they are to bring it to the housing authority's intention immediately. If damage does exist, any change order must be agreed to and signed off on by both parties prior to the damage being repaired. Shed Roofs Contractor should provide a price to strip existing roof down to decking and replace shingles. There are two unit sheds at the 7 Building. Price given should be per unit as additional sheds may be authorized
