This will allow the Federal Bureau of Prisons ample time to conduct a limited background security clearance (NCIC) for all persons who will be attending this site visit and be allowed access to enter the institution on May 31, 2023. Persons who are not deemed suitable to enter the institution will be contacted by phone as soon as practicable. No person will be allowed in the institution until a NCIC check is completed and approved. It is recommended, Mr. J. White be contacted as far in advance as possible. All prospective quoters who plan to attend this site visit are required to bring picture identification and your license plate number. The following items are not allowed: all type of Weapons (including pocket knives), cell phones, blackberries, pagers, radios, cameras, laptops, tablets, drugs and alcohol. Contractor will be permitted to wear jeans in the institution, however, shorts, green or Khaki-color clothing will not be allowed. The clothes will be proper and suitable for the services that are being provided. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time for security procedures and meet in the Outside of the powerhouse of the FCI, no later than 9:00 am MDT. This will be the only site visit scheduled. This site visit is NOT MANDATORY. Any issues or concerns expressed during this site visit, which are not addressed in the solicitation document, will be addressed in writing, and posted along with the original solicitation document. Quoters who previously submitted a quote for this solicitation need only sign and return this amendment if they intend to have their quote considered as is. All quoters may submit revised quotes as they deem necessary. The institutions Facilities Department maintains a digital camera that will be utilized by FBOP staff to document the project work. All work described in these documents and all work necessary to complete the work as described or shown is to be executed in a thoroughly substantial and workmanlike manner. All work shall be done by persons who are thoroughly experienced in their particular trade or craft. The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following description: FCI Englewood is seeking to hire a licensed contractor to complete a full re-tube of the #3 Cleaver Brooks boiler, Model Number CEW-200-400-150, serial number OL 104845 located at the outside powerhouse. This work shall include all labor, materials associated fees to remove/replace existing boiler tubes with new and testing/inspection costs. All work shall comply with Federal, State and local regulations. Specific Requirements for Boiler Re-tube: 1) Remove old tubes and seal welds. 2) Clean and prepare tube sheet. 3) Clean and prepare internal boiler including jetter-wash shell and furnace tube. 4) Install new tubes and cut to length. 5) Carefully visually inspect tube sheet for discrepancies. 6) Measure tube holes for expansion rates. 7) Slide new tubes into place and roll/bead tubes at both ends per the manufacturer recommendation . 8) After new tubes are installed, fit the boiler with new gaskets; fill and hydrostatically test boiler at operating pressure. 9) Touch-up and roll weep tubes as necessary. 10)Install new fitted rope gasket as needed. 11 )Close boiler, fire and perform combustion analysis and safety device testing. 12)Provide detailed electronic test reports and breakdown of all work completed under this contract. 13)Provide before and after color photographs documenting work performed.
