A general description of this project is as follows (not to be taken as a complete description or extent of the work): Project consists of new modular millwork/furniture to replace the existing Boardroom Dais. Removal of existing Dais is required. Project Location: 5819 Electric Ave, Berkeley, IL 60163. The commencement date of this project is approximately June 21, 2023. Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days from the date of receipt. Project approval is anticipated to occur at the Village Council meeting on June 20th, 2023. Commencement of the work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of Owner, but expected on or about June 21, 2023. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner. Bids on all work of this contract shall be subject to the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act(Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, Section 395S - 1-12). A prevailing wage determination has been made by the Illinois Department of Labor for public works projects in Cook County. The Contract entered into for the Work will be drawn in compliance with said law and proposals should be prepared accordingly. All contracts for work herein are subject to all Village rules and regulations, this is a Prevailing Wage schedule project and the contractor and all sub-contractors are required to pay the prevailing wage for Cook County for the life of the project and are responsible for keeping up with any changes Illinois Prevailing Wage Act 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. Bids shall not include federal excise tax or state sales tax for materials to be incorporated in, or totally consumed in the prosecution of the Work. A tax exemption certificate will be furnished by the Owner at the request of the Bidder. The Owners tax exemption number shall only be used by the successful Bidder for the Work of this Project. Certified payroll is required on this project by both general and sub-contractors. Any comments or questions must be submitted to the Architect no later than May 24, 2023, by 2 p.m. local time. Any clarifications or revisions to the construction documents will be issued by the Architect in the form of an Addendum 1. Notice to Proceed: Approximately June 21, 2023. 2. Construction completion no later than September 1, 2023.
