The work consists generally of retrofitting (46) obsolete Siemens DDC controls from underfloor fan coil units with new Trane BACnet UC400/XM30 devices. New zone sensors, discharge air sensors, VAV actuators and new heating water valve body and actuators shall also be supplied and installed in each zone by the awarded bidder. A failed Belimo actuator will also need to be replaced at the boiler bypass loop. Work shall be completed within [45] Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. As liquidated damages for delay Contractor shall pay City One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500) for each Day that expires after the time specified herein for Contractor to achieve Final Completion of the entire Work, until achieved. Limitations and stipulations regarding liquidated damages are set forth in Document 00 7200 (General Conditions). Bidders must submit Document 00 4313 (Bond Accompanying Bid) accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check (certified without qualification and drawn on a solvent bank of the State of California or a National Bank doing business in the State of California) or completed form of Document 00 4313 of not less than 10% of the base Bid, payable to City and completed in accordance with the provisions of Document 00 4313. A California Contractors State License Board Class A or B or C20 contractors license is required to bid this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract.
