Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Midland, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Town of Midland is seeking bids from qualified contractors to remove and replace around 360 square metres of asphalt along the waterfront trail. The contractor will be required to remove and dispose of the existing asphalt as well as any tree roots or rocks found under the surface. 100mm of 3/4" crusher run shall be placed, graded and compacted prior to paving. The asphalt replacement may be up to five separate patches no less than 5.0m in length, all patches will be located within a two-kilometre section of trail between Pete Pettersen Park and Midland Bay Landing Park, the successful bidder will be informed of the specific locations prior to the preconstruction meeting. The trail is three metres in width on average. The contractor shall place topsoil and grass seed along the edge of the trail to match the grade of the asphalt to the existing grade.
