Request for Qualifications: The Field Museum seeks qualifications for proposals from mechanical/General Contractors. The project consists of installing six (6) new Air Handling Units (AHUs) & associated MEP systems to replace six (6) current AHUs located on the ground floor, third floor and the roof top. MBE/WBE businesses are encouraged to bid and successful bidders must utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, services, and construction. Qualifications to include: Successful completion of three (3) projects in any Museum of equivalent size and exhibit/collection complexities. References required. Bidders must have completed minimum three (3) successful projects where scope included the installation of knock-down/built-up air handling units Bidders must have minimum three (3) successful projects in managing a construction project where the bidder has acted as the main contractor and managed multiple sub-contractors. Maintains good financial standing with its sub-contractor(s) and/or vendor(s). References required. Provide flexibility with work schedule based on environmental elements within and outside of the Field Museum. Submit qualifications between 8:00am and 5:00pm, May 1 through May 12, 2023.
