Deadline for submittal of questions 5/25/2023 at 2:00 p.m. Evaluation of SOQs 7/7/2023 through 8/3/2023 4. Anticipated approval of Architectural Services pool September 2023 PROJECT INFORMATION A. Project Description: The Project(s) may include, without limitation, development, new construction, additions/renovations, re-construction and modernization, and/or expansion of Owner's community college school site(s) and/or other academic and nonacademic facilities, and may be subject to funding. If funding is not available, the Project(s) will be placed on hold until funding becomes available. Architect may be assigned any portion or all of one or more of the projects, in Owner's sole discretion, pursuant to an executed Work Authorization, a sample of which is included within Attachment "A". Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing contained herein obligates Owner to assign any project specified on the attached list, or otherwise, to Architect. B. Governing Code: The governing code is the current edition of the "California Building Code" California Code of Regulations, (Title 24). C. Budget: Once Owner issues a "Work Authorization", defined for purposes hereof as an Owner-generated document which particularizes and fully describes each individual task and Project(s), or portion thereof, to be performed by Architect, and which will be further described in the Agreement for Architectural Services, then with the assistance of Owner, Architect will commence the development of such Project(s). Each Project(s)' budget will be established within general cost figures set by Owner and Architect. D. Project Timing: This requested design work is to be completed and plan checked, bid and construction completed on or before a date to be determined by Owner and Architect. III. SCOPE OF SERVICES A. Basic Services: For any Project(s) and/or Master Planning tasks assigned to Architect by Owner, Architect shall provide services as required with special emphasis on design efficiency, cost control, schedule control, document control, contractor compliance, and management of information, as appropriate to the assignment in the Work Authorization. The scope of services may change should Owner elect to utilize Multi-Prime Construction Management, Design Build or other alternative delivery method. The services required may include, without limitation, those outlined herein, in the Work Authorization, and in the Agreement for Architectural Services as executed between the parties, relating to the following general categories: 1. Communication with Owner; 2. Coordinate with energy utilities for possible energy rebates; 3. Hiring and supervision of consultants and personnel; 4. Assistance in the preparation of comprehensive educational specifications; 5. Site plan, including survey information such as topography and dimensional information; 6. Initial Planning Phase of Project(s); 7. Project Proposal Report ("PPR") 8. Schematic Plan Phase of Project; 9. Design Development Phase of Project; 10. Renderings of Project(s); 11. Final working drawings and specifications and submittal to DSA; 12. Construction contract documents; 13. Bid phase; 14. Observation of Project(s); 15. Construction of Project(s); 16. As-built drawings; 17. Project(s) closeout services including, but not limited to, transition planning, preparation of final punch list and subsequent walk-through to confirm deficiencies have been corrected and DSA closeout. 18. Additional services of Architect, if any; 19. Preparation and performance services pursuant to an estimated time schedule; 20. Maintenance of records of direct personnel and reimbursable expenses and other matters; 21. Cooperate and consult with Owner in use, selection and establishment of standard Owner-preferred items, including, but not limited to, paint, hardware, plumbing, mechanical and electrical equipment, fixtures, roofing materials, and floor coverings; and 22. Cooperate with Owner's DVBE, or other compliance requirements and goals, as and if applicable. B. Form of Contract: The scope of services being requested is more fully defined in the attached sample Master Agreement for Architectural Services with its attachments. The firm(s) selected will be required to execute this form of contract. As of May 22, 2023, the due date and time has been confirmed with the owner.
